About our Chauffeurs

There is a lot more to chauffeuring than just driving a car. Our chauffeurs are responsible for checking traffic conditions and flight information for their own jobs before they leave and ensuring they arrive at the pick up point at least 10 minutes prior to the booked time. Basic maintenance checks have to be undertaken each time before they travel and they are also able to speedily change a wheel in the event of a puncture whilst in transit. They need to know alternative routes in case of traffic jams with their main concern being getting clients to their destination as quickly and comfortably as possible. They have to be conscious of the passengers' wishes in that some find their journey passes more quickly if they are engaged in conversation whereas others like to work or just relax quietly whilst travelling. We have several ex-servicemen on our books who have all served several years in the forces. We find these people to be ideal for our type of work in that they are always punctual, well presented and able to adapt to last minute changes of arrangements such as flight changes. When looking to recruit staff we actively seek this type of person and regularly attend Resettlement Fairs put on by the forces for servicemen and women coming to the end of their term of duty.

Kevin Crighton - Director

Kevin Crighton - Director

Kevin's background was in the motor trade with his parents running a motor dealership in Peterborough for many years. This is where he spent the early part of his working life qualifying as a Saab Master Technician prior to taking the position of After Sales Manager. He knows the importance of keeping the vehicles well maintained to ensure reliability. He also spent some time working as a chauffeur for the Rothschild family, which gave him first-hand knowledge of the chauffeuring business and what it takes to provide a first-class service.

Trish Crighton - Director

Trish Crighton - Director

Trish has worked as a secretary and personal assistant in the past. She has a good knowledge of how both large and small businesses run and the different issues that affect both. This is a great benefit when dealing with clients and establishing their needs. She is extremely organised and thorough and very good at putting new strategies into place to ensure the smooth running of the business. She does the accounts, runs the payroll and deals with all other aspects of the day-to-day running of the office.

Jen is the first point of contact on the telephone and email. She is responsible for discussing the customer's requirements, making bookings, recommending pick up times and ensuring all the necessary information is gathered accurately and reliably schedule each journey. She is meticulous in her work and ensures all bookings are received and confirmed in writing so she can double-check the information before passing the job to the driver.

Ray Vellam - Chauffeur

Ray Vellam - Chauffeur

Ray has been working as a chauffeur for over 20 years now and knows virtually everything there is to know about the job. He has built up a vast knowledge of all the airports in our region and can recall flight numbers and arrival times of many regular flights landing there. As far as Ray is concerned the earlier the job the better and he is frequently back from the airport before the office staff have even started their day.

Pia Ashpool - Chauffeur

Pia Ashpool - Chauffeur

Pia had a career change some time ago having run her own picture framing business for several years. Since starting as a chauffeur she has proven to be extremely popular with clients and colleagues alike. She is happy to work any hours of the day or night and enjoys the freedom being 'out on the road' rather than spending every day in her shop as previously.

Tony was looking for some part time work after retiring from the RAF and initially started as a private hire driver doing mostly local taxi work. Since moving over to chauffeuring we have found him to be very willing and reliable and able to help out at short notice.
